Moe’s Southwest Grill History
Moe’s Southwest Grill is a restaurant chain founded by H. Martin Sprock in December 9, 2000. The company is based in Garden Hills, Georgia and has over 500 locations across the United States.
Moe’s specializes in Tex-Mex cuisine, serving a variety of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and salads. The restaurant is known for its unique flavors and customer service.
In 2016 , Moe’s had more than 500 locations across the United States and announced that they will add another 100 restaurants by 2020. They are the sister brand of Taco Bell and both restaurant companies are owned by Yum! Brands.
The reason Moe’s has more locations than Taco Bell is that they started years after the other company did. Moe’s Southwest Grill cares about the sustainability of their company and community.
They try to reduce food waste at their restaurants by donating extra food to local shelters when they reach a certain percentage of the daily goal. In 2016, they donated 1 million pounds of food in 875 different communities where Moe’s is located.
All employees are required to participate in the company volunteer program where they can participate in three different opportunities to help out with local communities and organizations.
