The Capital Grille History
The Capital Grille restaurant company has a rich and interesting history. It was founded in 1990 by Ned Grace, and is headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island.
The company has since grown to include over 50 locations nationwide, and is known for its upscale steakhouse fare. Some of the unique features of The Capital Grille restaurants include their wine cellars, which house some of the world’s finest wines, and their award-winning chefs.
The Capital Grille has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 15 years in a row, and their chefs have won several awards, including the America Culinary Chefs Cup.
One notable event in The Capital Grille’s history was its IPO (initial public offering). This occurred on September 16, 2002. The restaurant company was publicly traded under the well-known stock market name of Capital Grille, Inc.
The famous chef behind many of the restaurant’s dishes is Michael Mina. He has gained fame in several other cities besides Providence, Rhode Island, for his amazing culinary talents.
After Ned Grace founded The Capital Grille in 1990, it grew very quickly to include locations throughout the nation. One of their most notable locations is found on Orlando’s International Drive.
