Fogo de Chao is a Brazilian steakhouse restaurant based in New York City. It offers fresh, high-quality meats and ingredients for both lunch and dinner.
Fogo de Chao’s salad bar, which offers over 40 different items including sliced fruits, cheese and charcuterie with breads, crostini and spinach tartare as well as a variety of dressings with bowls of bread crumbs for dipping.
They also offer four different types of mussels including roasted garlic twist or traditional salt. For the main course, diners have their choice of Rodizio (All You Can Eat) or ordering off the menu.
The Rodizio at Fogo de Chao is an endless amount of freshly grilled meats including filet mignon, pork loin, bacon-wrapped chicken and sirloin served on skewers. Each skewer is a maximum of 12 oz.
Fogo de Chao’s dessert includes a few different options including cheesecake and molten chocolate cake among others. There is also an assortment of sorbets on offer.
Fogo de Chao also offers a variety of tapas-style dishes which include seafood and steak are also available. The Brazilian champagne and wines are also available by the glass, pitcher or bottle.

Fogo de Chao History
In 1979, Jair Coser and his son Arri Coser opened the first Fogo de Chao restaurant in Atlanta. Since then, the company has expanded to more than two dozen locations across the United States, a new partnership with Macaroni Grill, and a thriving catering business.
Sticking to its Brazilian roots, Fogo continues to serve authentic Brazillian cuisine alongside other classic favorites like steak and ribs. Fogo can be found in Brassey, Dillard’s, PetSmart, and some other retail stores.
Fogo de Chao is the world’s largest churrascaria restaurant chain, with 26 locations in the United States, 2 in Canada, 1 under construction, and 2 under development.
In 2007, Fogo de Chao became a franchise, offering investment opportunities to individuals interested in building and operating Fogo de Chao restaurants throughout the United States.
The company has also announced a partnership with Macaroni Grill to develop Macaroni Grill Churrascaria locations. It was announced in late 2008 that Fogo de Chao has opened its first restaurant outside of North America, with a location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Further expansion into the Middle East is planned. In March 2012 Fogo De Chao opened its first location along the East Coast of the United States in South Miami. A second location was announced in August 2012, located at The Americana at Brand Development in Glendale, California.
