Our restaurant’s menu has something for everyone. We have appetizing signature sandwiches like the Italian Beef sandwich featuring our own slow roasted beef and spaghetti sauce as well as six different kinds of pizza.

It is easy to see why Imo’s Italian Beef and Pizza is downtown St. Louis’ favorite pizza place. Our pizzas are made fresh daily and we have over 35 different toppings including pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, hamburger and more.

Our old-fashioned pizzas are cut into big squares. With Imo’s you can also decide if you want your pizza pan-style or deep dish! We also have a gluten free option for those who need wheat free food.

We also have an Italian salad bar where we serve meatballs, chicken tenders, chicken fingers, smoked turkey and our own homemade dressing. You can choose from several different Italian dressings or our own home-made special dressing.

We also have fresh vegetables like broccoli, Roma tomatoes, zucchini and fresh mozzarella cheese balls. But the real reason you’re here is for our famous Imo’s Italian Beef and Pizza.

It’s our unique way of making the most tender and juicy beef sandwich in town. We begin by slow roasting top round roast beef for many hours then we place it on a fresh baked Imo-style bun and top it with our homemade secret sauce.

Imo’s History

Imo’s Menu Prices History

For the third time in 10 years, Imo’s is closing its doors for good. This time the iconic mom-and-pop restaurant is going down along with St. Louis’ once thriving food culture. Imo’s served fine Italian food to generations of St.

Louisans from its inception in 1964 until it closed for good on May 26, 2018. It will be missed by many as one of a few landmarks left in the city and at least one last bastion of what St. Louis used to be.

Ed and Margie Imo’s first restaurant was a tiny, high-quality Italian joint called Nuccio’s in the Central West End neighborhood. They opened their second restaurant in the Delmar Loop, which is a collection of restaurants and bars on Delmar Boulevard in University City.

The Imos’ success led to a string of ventures that ended up with 32 locations throughout St. Louis, but the first two locations were not included in this number. The Imos were killed in the late 1970s in their Marina Del Rey home when they were robbed and Ed Imo was shot.

Imo’s Pizza was a historic landmark, an old-school, mom-and-pop pizza joint serving generations of St. Louisans since its inception in 1964. The second location opened in Delmar Loop, a popular nightlife district at the time and a place that turned into a ghost town just about 50 years later.
